Great Monday (Dear Diary..)

Happy February 1st!

Today was a good day.
I woke up after sleeping 9 hours, which is the perfect amount for me to feel refreshed, well rested and, like myself, basically.
The sun was shining, and I realized, spring is already that much closer.
I had a productive day of getting stuff done (seriously, my planner-slash-calendar is my second BFF. I never thought it would be all that useful or as necessary but it's seriously the bomb! I'm not the most productive person, so having a checklist, a weekly plan and a calendar to write everything important down seems to do the trick for me).
I started today by enjoying a delicious breakfast (my new absolute favorite brekfast, of which a video is coming later this month, stay tuned ;)) andddd managed to get tickets to Justin Bieber's The Purpose Tour in Helsinki this September!!! YASSSSSS!
(say what you wanna say - and although there's no accounting for taste preferences, but in my humble opinion, he's a talented singer. and has so many super catchy songs. so I'm beyond happy to see him live :)
Then I went to the gym, and although it was full as it usually is on Mondays, I got a great workout in. My glutes are so sore right now as I'm sitting down and typing this..

I have a feeling that February is going to be a good month. :)
Do you?  Take a second to think about what would you like to make happen. Write that sh*t down and make a plan, and work for it.
First month of the year has passed. Did you start the year as you intended to? Did you stick to your resolutions, or are they long ago forgotten about..? ;)
As you may remember, I mentioned something back when I was still living in Norway, and that is that I've now finally started taking dance classes again! Best. Workout. Ever. Doesn't feel like a workout at all, but makes your heart pump like crazy. I'm literally soaked in sweat after every class! And it's just so much fun. Reggaetón is the dance type I've always liked the best, but I enjoy many others, too, so I'll probably switch it up later and try other sorts of dancing, as well.

I like to read inspirational quotes and short texts, and "surround myself" with little daily positive affirmations as they really help me to try to look for the best of every situation, be a better person in general and not to get stressed out, even when things get rough.
So, from now on, I'll try to include some of my most recent inspiration here and share it with you, as well, because sharing is caring, and maybe you'll like them just as much as I do, too. :)

"What's meant to be, will be. No manipulation, no stress, just consistency and honesty."
Rachel Wolchin

Although, it is great to set goals and plan, I still believe in taking it week by week, or even just day by day. This quote explains it pretty well: "Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans". Especially when you're unsure of the future and can't even plan six months ahead of life with certainty (like I can't atm.. :D), it helps to just trust the Universe, sit back and enjoy the ride. That's what I'll try to do.
Seems way more fun than stressing and being anxious about it, anyway.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to enjoy the comfort of our couch, Netflix and this warm burning fireplace. While it's still cold and dark outside.

It's the little things in life.. ;)

x Mira
