A Little Life Update + Flu Tips :)

Hey you!

Sorry, been sick and completely distracted by life this past week-and-a-half.  ;) This year sure has started in a unusual yet exciting way, but all is well with me, as I hope it is with you, as well!

I spent an amazing but short weekend in Norway last weekend. I regret not having taking any pictures, been bad at that department lately. Will do next time, I promise! :)

In Finland, where I'm currently living, winter truly has arrived.. It's been cold AF (as in, -25 degrees Celsius. Not fun!!). And we have lots of snow! I was pleased to have escaped the cold for a few days, as in Norway, it was only -3 on average during my stay! :D)

I've gotten more and more settled, and started seriously looking for a job. It is so exciting! Starting all over, a completely new chapter, though in a oh-so familiar setting.

I have some video topics planned, so will be making them very soon, now that I've finally healed from that dreadful cold. Actually got it just in time for my birthday.. Yes.. How unlucky! But tbh, still had a nice day. Celebrated it better the weekend after. The older I've gotten, birthdays have lost a lot of their meaning and importance. All I need is to be around people I love, and celebrate is possible any day of the year. Not saying I would never have a birthday party again like I've had in the past, but it sure doesn't need to be so extravagant and fancy anymore for me to have a happy birthday. :)

By the way, if you are sick atm, too, I have some tips that helped me get well real fast! They are:

- drinking lots of fluids (mainly water, but also lemon water works great!)

- eat lots of fresh fruit and berries, aka foods that are high in both water and vitamin C. also focus on getting in as much antioxidants & anti-inflammatory properties containing foods (e.g. ginger, turmeric), as possible

- REST. enjoy being lazy, take advantage of this time! read, take naps and don't exercise more than a walk / something that doesn't put a lot of stress on your system. watch your favorite shows on Netflix!

- laugh and stay positive! I believe that our minds affect our bodies a lot more than we think. there is even scientific proof on the matter. so make sure you are in a happy mood and don't stress. this will, as well as resting ofc, accelerate the healing. laugh yourself to tears to your all-time favorite comedy.

Try these if you're stuck with the cold as well! :)

Stay healthy and get well soon,

x Mira
