Fall Workout Motivation

Good Monday all of you!

How are you all doing? I hope your week has started in a positive way.
If not, you can always change it for the better in quite a simple and effective way...
What am I talking about? Well, working out, of course! :D

For some of us, myself included, the fall can be a little bit less of a motivating time of the year to get into the best shape ever. I mean, summer has passed (:() and the days are not only getting shorter but also darker and colder.. All you feel like doing is cuddling up on the couch watching your favorite series non stop.. Who's with me? :D Anyone recognized themselves?

I sure did. But to beat the blues, and fight this urge, I wanted to give you guys some motivation for working out, and let you in on a secret.

Motivation isn't something that "falls out of the sky" one day, and that you should sit around and wait for. Nope, it comes from within. You decide you want something, and the goal motivates you.

Sometimes it can seem harder to find, though.. Here are a few tips on how to get super motivated to work out!

1. Update your workout routine / schedule / wardrobe

Are you dreading your workouts, because they've just become too routined and tedious? Switch things up. Try some new class or sport, or get a workout plan wither made to you by a professional or just copy someone else. Or stop doing the execises you hate, because almost for everything, there's always another option.
The last point speaks to all you girls out there.. ;) Wouldn't you agree, that it is so much more fun to go to the gym or head out for a jog with new shoes or workout clothes? Invest in something durable, good quality and go kick some ass. No need to have a bad conscience, because some purchases actually can make you fitter.. ;)

2. Get a gym / training buddy

This one is effective AF. ;) When you make plans with someone else, it is so much harder to turn them down.. As long as you make sure to pick a friend who isn't lazy and actually wants to get into better shape and commit to your workouts! Plus, training feels much more fun when you're not alone.

3. Don't be too hard on yourself

Stop feeling like you HAVE to workout, because you hate the way your body looks like or feels atm. Do it because you love your body, and want to take good care of it! Even a walk is better than staying on the couch, so don't beat yourself if you couldn't run 10k without a break / lift that many reps / etc.. Going slow or easy is still better than not going at all. Still, remember to focus on progress, not perfection. Keep progressing, but even baby steps count!

4. Update your playlist

This one's my personal favorite. I LOVE listening to music when I train. It motivates me so much, and makes me focus. Plus, it makes it that much more fun. In need for new songs to your playlist?
Here are some of my current faves (of both old and new tunes):

* Major Lazer - Light It Up (feat. Nyla)

* Calvin Harris & Disciples - How Deep Is Your Love

* Yves LaRock - Rise Up

* J. Balvin - Ginza

* Armin Van Buuren feat Mr. Probz - Another You

* David Guetta - Dangerous Part 2 (feat Sam Martin, Trey Songz & Chris Brown)

* Tiësto & KSHMR feat. Vassy - Secrets

* Sigma - Nobody To Love

* Don Omar - Hasta Que Salga El Sol

Now, go workout! The only workout you'll regret is the one you didn't do. ;)

x Mira
